ISSS office move
Due to upcoming renovations to the North Decatur building, ISSS will be temporarily moving to the 1599 Clifton Road building. During the transition to the temporary location, ISSS will continue to offer robust services to support Emory's international students and scholars, as well as their host departments.
All ISSS operations will happen as normal at our office in the North Decatur Building, Ste 130. Click below for:
The transition to our temporary space will take place on June 15 & 16. During this time, ISSS will continue to be available both in-person and remotely to support international students and scholars, as well their host departments. Please see below for instructions on how you can get in touch with our office of these date.
- In-person needs: An ISSS advisor will be available for in-person advising in the B. Jones Building, 200 Dowman Drive. If entering on the 1st floor, please let the receptionist know that you are there to see ISSS. We will be in Rooms 220 & 223.
- Virtual appointments and walk-ins will still be available as usual.
- ISSS staff will be available for phone calls at 404-727-3300.
- Document pick-up and drop-off will not be available during these days.
As of Wednesday, June 17th, ISSS will be in its new temporary home in the 1599 Clifton building.
- All regular in-person services will resume on June 17th in the 1599 Clifton Road building including:
- Document pick-up and drop off
- In-person walk-ins and appointments
- In person orientations (including the weekly J-1 scholar orientation)
How to get to the 1599 Clifton building
Once ISSS is in the 1599 Clifton building on June 17th, here is how to reach our ISSS staff:

- Virtual advising and walk-ins will not change
- Google Map for 1599 Clifton Road
- Emory shuttle routes for 1599 Clifton: A, M, CCTMA
- There is parking available for visitors who drive. If you need to park in the parking deck, you will buzz the gate and let them know you are there for a meeting or appointment.
Finding ISSS at 1599 Clifton
When you enter the lobby, ask the front desk concierge to sign you into the building. If necessary, you can call ISSS (404-727-3300) and somebody will come to the lobby and let you in.
Once you have signed in, find the central elevators and go to the 5th floor.

Expecting mail at ISSS?
If you've used the ISSS address on an application, or expect mail to be delivered to ISSS on your behalf, it will be forwarded from the old address to the new building. Emory Mail Services will continue to deliver mail to ISSS even if it includes the previous North Decatur Building address.
We will notify you right away when something has been delivered.
