Biography
Shinn serves as Emory University’s Associate Vice Provost for International Services & Global Engagement, reporting to the Vice Provost for Global Engagement.
In this role, Shinn provides strategic guidance and collaborates with exceptional colleagues across Emory Global Engagement (EGE), with oversight of:
- International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)
- Global Partnerships & Initiatives
- Global External Relations
- EGE Communications
Shinn is actively involved in several international education associations, most notably NAFSA: Association of International Educators. She has held numerous leadership roles, including two elected terms totaling six years as Vice President for Professional Development and Engagement on the NAFSA Board of Directors, during which she also served on the Board’s Executive Committee.
Shinn joined Emory in the fall of 2014, following her leadership role at the University of Pennsylvania.
